last night
i prayed
to the rain in the sky
upon the earth
my body moves as in a trance
my feet know the dance well
sounds echo across the hall
the aching motion
of desperation
vibrates, curls
deep swerving
curving roads
that take me
places afar and in dreams
and sends to me pleasure
and delicate rage
that penetrates the skin
and washes
warm summer waters
over me
inside
dripping sweat from my forehead
and the breeze from the window
takes me
away
and
i fall to the floor
